Microcrystalline Paraffin Waxes
Consisting of predominantly branched chain aliphatic hydrocarbons (iso-paraffin), they are characterized by high melting points (typically >70,70C) and high elasticity and adhesiveness which makes them important for specific applications. They can be crude or highly refined, obtained thanks to catalytic hydrogenation, which guarantees their characteristics of purity such as to be used in materials and articles intended for contact with food.
