HISTORY
Simp Wax is the wax and paraffin division of SIMP, a prestigious Italian company specializing in the processing, trading and distribution of petrochemical products, part of the Companies of Triboldi Family
1865-1952 Antica Cereria Pietro Triboldi is established, receiving multiple awards from the Vatican for its social commitment and craftsmanship in candle making. In 1952, Importazione Materie Prime SpA (SIMP) is founded, distributing refined paraffin throughout Italy.
The 60’s-70’s - Expansion and Decal s.p.A: The company continues to grow in the 60’s and 70’s, expanding its sales portfolio to other petrochemical products. In this period, Decal S.p.A., a company specialized in the coastal storage of petrochemical products in Porto Marghera, joined the group of Companies . The synergy with Decal still represents a competitive advantage for Simp to this day.
The 80s - International Growth and Trade Agreements: In the 1980s, Simp imported new products, establishes new distribution channels in foreign markets, and enters into new trade agreements with major oil and petrochemical companies worldwide.
The 90s - Global Strategic Alliances: The 1990s saw significant changes in the geopolitical and economic landscape of Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Simp seizes these opportunities to establish strategic alliances in these regions, creating joint ventures and acquiring stakes both in Italy and abroad to further expand into specific market segments
2000 - The New Century and the New Challenges: The new century brings new challenges and opportunities. The economic crisis in Europe demands a reorganization of the Group and the consolidation of positions acquired in previous years
Today - Third Generation and New Frontiers: Simp is now in its third generation under the control of the same Triboldi Family. The company is ready to face new challenges with courage and optimism, exploring new frontiers in supplies and sales, with particular attention to markets such as China, the East, the Americas, and the more stable regions of the Middle East.
